Echoes of Abyss is a masterful collaboration between Teenage Brewing and Deschutes Brewery, layering complex flavors in this 10% ABV imperial stout. Inspired by Deschutes' The Abyss recipe, it blends roasted malts with Japanese hojicha tea, wood chips, brown sugar, vanilla, sea salt, and touches of rum essence. Columbus and Idaho Gem hops anchor the brew's backbone. The toasted hojicha notes meld with rich molasses and subtle spice, balanced by creamy vanilla and warming depth from rum nuances.
